As a female Muslim gynaecologist, Dr Shilla understands that cultural, religious and personal values can shape a woman's healthcare experience. Her approach is centred on compassionate, respectful and personalised care for women of all backgrounds.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy painting. It reminds me to slow down, pay attention to the little details and be patient with the process. Those same values guide me in the operating theatre.
